Branching Out

Born in Mexico city, he lives and works in Paris, New York, Amsterdam and Mexico. He is a licensed architect and has received a postgraduate degree in Anthropology from the New York University. He has had one-person shows in: Museo Rufino Tamayo; Museo José Luis Cuevas; Galería de Arte Mexicano; Palacio de Bellas Artes; Siete Escultores y Columnas, Mexico City; Seoul, Korea; Hewitt Museum, Neuberger Museum; Diana Brown Gallery; Center for Inter-American Relations; Max Protech Gallery, New York; Kunst Rai, Galería Lambert Tegenbosch; Van Rooy Gallery, Holland; in April 2005 he received a special invitation to exhibit at the Bauhaus in Dessau, Germany. Awards: French government grant for Urban Studies in Paris; Fullbright Fellowship for curatorial studies in the Smithsonian Institute; Helen Rubenstein Grant for curatorial work in the Whitney Museum and Guggenheim Museum, New York. His work can be found in public and private collections such as: Juffai Building, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; IBM Building, Dallas Texas; LL & E Building, New Orleans; Ben Baldwin Garden, East Hampton, New York; Van Rooy Collection, Amsterdam; Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City.
